1. Poster Guidelines
Each poster presentation is allotted one poster board. Presenters should use mounting tape to put up their A0-size posters (84.1 x 118.9 cm or 33.1 × 46.8 inch). Mounting tape will be prepared by the Secretariat. The venue of poster presentation will be announce later.
Poster Instructions
We solicit high-quality research posters in bioinformatics, computational biology, chem-bioinformatics including bioinformatic-related cloud computing, biological databases, cellular and organ modelling, disease modelling, emerging technologies, environmental genomics (white bio), fragment-based drug design, genome analysis, immunomics, interactome analysis, metabolome analysis, metagenomics, molecular docking, molecular robotics and biocomputing, ncRNA/miRNA analysis, ontologies, pathway modelling and analysis, personalized medicine/health care genomcics, pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics, proteome analysis, sequence analysis, SNPs and genomewide associations, structural bioinformatics, synthetic biology exluding minimal genomes, synthetic genomes and organisms, text mining in biology, transcriptome analysis, and translational bioinformatics conveying a scientific result.
Authors are required to select an appropriate template for their submission and follow the instructions given in the template files.
2. Software/Technology/Methodolgy/Resource/Tool/Database Abstract:
Each template contains an abstract page and a teaser page. The teaser page content will incorporated in the program booklet. Authors have up to 30 words for a scientific statement other than the title to attract attendees to their poster or demonstration. Example of 23-word teaser: Flux balance analyses of XXX cells revealed increased epistasis among housekeeping genes. However, functionally related genes did not show an increase in interactions.
The presenting/corresponding authors acknowledged that the work described in the abstract has not been published/accepted elsewhere prior to June 7, 2011. If the abstract has been published or accepted for publication elsewhere before the submission deadline of June 7, 2011, the authors must give at the end of the abstract the following information: Name of publication, website (if applicable), date and comments (e.g. differences between the two abstract).
Prior to submission all abstract authors must confirm they have read, understand and agree to the abstract submission rules and guidelines. The presenting/corresponding author confirms that each co-author has been informed of the abstract submission and has agreed to all information as it was submitted. At least one author of accepted abstracts must register for the InCoB/ISCB-Asia Joint Conference 2011 duly settle registration fees and present the poster or give the demonstration.
